Do adjustable toilets work during power cuts?

Do adjustable toilets work during power cuts?

Mark Woodcock |

Since rise-and-fall toilets and lifting toilet seats rely on electric motors, they require a constant power supply to move.

  • Fail-Safe: In the event of a power cut, the toilet will remain at its current height. It will not "drop" or collapse.
  • Manual Use: You can still use the toilet as a standard seat during a power cut, but the lifting and lowering functions (and smart toilet wash/dry features) will be disabled until power is restored.
  • Recommendation: For users who rely entirely on the lift function for independence, we recommend having a secondary manual aid (like a grab rail) or a backup battery UPS system.
